When
this little gray baby is born, I couldn’t imagine she will take a so big
place in our family and so quick. She is become the preferred of all my
children, a sort of toy… It’s real that when she came on the world, I’ve
never seen a such little litter like this. Five little, so little babies…
Her, she was a little thing of 100grammes et and her brothers were no
bigger, she had a brother which was smaller and now he is a nice big dog
called R’Mès perhaps his precious name protected him… My little doll is born
one month and ½ after the Roxane’s litter, and if I knew how to call the
first bitch, Roxane, because I’m a real fan of Rod Stewart and it was
natural to give her the name of one of his song, for the second, I admit, I
had no idea at all. I charged my children to find a lovely name for the gray
one. My three daughters were fond of Dawson (a television soap opera), they
decided then to give to the little bitch the name of one heroine of this
film : Joey Potterson. I had just to stock another name with a “R” at the
beginning and the turn was played. My little gray baby became the beautiful
Joey. Joey is very similar as her mother and as her sister Promise, a little
thing of her brother Thunderbolt. She likes to be
alone, she is obstinate, and spontaneous, a little bit wild and love to be
quiet… Often, I called her “grand’ma”, because when she is in bowl, in a
corner of the place, if a dog or an human disturbs her, she rattles…When she
is awaked, she loves to go disturbing the other dogs, a pest… Her best
friend is Roxane, we can’t see one without the other, and if it’s arrive,
the other is never far away…They use to sleep together, the head of the
first on the body of the second… When we are going to work, we use to
separate each dog, because we don’t want any problem when we are not at
home, but Roxane and Joey are always together. They are lovely, her
friendship is great and beautiful, if one day one of them will disappear I
think the other should died. Joey is fond
of my son Jordann. However, if Jordann loves dogs in general, at 20 years,
he admits that he would have preferred a different life, because 12 Skyes at
home it’s not always easy to live, the house must be cleaned very often, we
can’t go together in holidays and we must follow their rules of life… But
his Joey it’s really a love story. SHE CAN DO WHAT SHE WANTS TO. Some hours
of kisses, some sweets, a queen, in fact…I’m very often angry after him,
because I don’t want any difference between my dogs, when they are together,
in love with a lot of secret, the others are there and look with envious
eyes. Roxane, sometimes arrive to obtain a little quick attention, but it’s
not with the heart. Then I take her in my arms and do with her the same
things : kisses, secret and love’s words… Anyway, Roxane is my daughter. I
have always had a special relation with this bitch. Joey and I? She likes me
but it’s not one of my fan. She prefers without doubt possible her Jordann.
No, Joey is a really independent dog. What about shows?
Even if she is really beautiful, with a lot of great qualities, it will be
hard because she is the contrary of a show dog. She doesn’t like to be
oblige to do something, doesn’t like noises, and I think that turning in a
ring can be her cup of tea. The? She will be perhaps the first bitch of my
kennel who won’t be a champion but no problem. She is already French junior
Champion and if she is like her sister Promise, she will like shows later…My
Joey? I won’t exchange her for nothing in the world., I like my little bitch
with her big character, it’s my baby, it’s all…Ah a last thing, if you are
coming at home, don’t try to kiss, this little gray bitch who is looking at
you under her face’s coat and her curious attitude… Joey, we can’t kiss her,
we must wait she has decided she wanted to be kissed, OK?
