I’ll
remember during a long time the surprise born of Roxane. We had few days to
wait to have the pleasure to see Edition’s baby. The date was no arrived
yet. We put Edition in the garden, she needed to have a walk, and go to the
toilets and so and…We were in the dinning room with our friends to have a
drink. Jordann came in the room very surprised, he had in his hand a little
black baby, it was till yet… Edition was in advance… I jumped outside and
pick up my bitch to put her in the maternity under the worm lamp. Edition
was very relax, but for her everything is always fantastic. We called our
friend Patricia who was waiting for a little male and she paid impatience,
it was her first baby of my kennel. She did the reservation a long time ago.
One male, two males, three males… and me? I wanted to keep a bitch, I was a
little bit sad. And Roxane came, at least, like a princess, she took her
time but she was so pretty, so wonderful, so cute, so black, so lovely, so…
This litter brought a lot of emotions and a lot of vibrations. I spent hours
to love them, to care them, I was totally fond of them… It was the first
litter of edition and the first litter at home for Roy… We were waiting a
lot of things about this litter. It was all sold.
Roxane has always been perfect, she has a wonderful construction, it was not
easy for her to be like we hoped she was, because we were very difficult in
our choice. We are now looking for a dog almost perfect. She is a very nice
bitch, very sweet, sociable, and so beautiful. Everything I like in a Skye
terrier. She is totally black, she has a lovely and correct carriage of ear,
a marvelous Top Line, and a super head like her mother. This bitch has this
little thing, when she moves, when you are looking at her, you flash
immediately, it bumps your heart. The beginning of her career has been such
wonderful : best world Skye puppy at six months, Maroc champion at 14
months, and French champion at 15 months…For the moment she has been in
stand bye because her quality of coat is so good, so terrier that he has
been long to grow and I wanted to show her only at the Top, but she prepares
the European Championship in May 2004. Our
Roxane? A big mountain of happiness, always happy, spontaneous, easy to live
with… It’s my little, my love, my baby… I love her very, very much, it’s not
complicate, she follows me everywhere, sleep with us, just on my
feet…Everybody loves her. She is very, very enclosed with everybody…Her best
friend? Without doubt : Joey, born one month and a half after her, always
together and they are my twins, they are unique…Her bitch career? No
question at all!!!! At three years, I see her like a baby, it’s my baby, did
you ever see a baby with babies… You can imagine seriously the result?…My
luck it’s to see my dog like a pleasure. I don’t need to have any babies to
live… Only an hobby, a temptation… It’s all… A passion with a big “P”…
November 22, 2007: Our hard fight against the
inevitable ...
Roxane has always been a playful,
sociable
and pleasant
bitch...
Simply, a bitch that everyone
could dream
to have at home ... Then one day, everything
change. The
dog becomes sad, anxious and doesn't have any seasons. Her beautiful black coat
falls by big
quantity. They should start to
admit, Roxane is ill.
We decide
to make a lot
of exams, night
become a hell, I
have a lot of
distress moment
because in fond
of me: I know
:
the cancer is there, not far away, and it stays near us with its "lady in
black". But she is only than seven years, she is so young, so nice. Then the Skye falls
on our head
: it's a syndrome of Cushing .... No hereditary, not genetics (Roxane is not
born from an inbreeding marriage, no). No only a question of bad luck. A syndrome of Cushing
is a default of fonctionnement of the hypophyse gland , this one which
regulates all hormones in the body, a problem often caused by a tumor ...
The other tests revealed a tumor of the hypophyse (pituitary) gland. No operation, too
dangerous. Treatment? A heavy
Treatment during
all her life that will make her
more fat, but
which will allow it to have a normal life, what a life ...
And us? We prefer live
as if we did not know, forget the worst. Our friends are there, our the family, also.
And the show
must go
on ...
So one hour, one day, one month, one year or more?
nobody knows. We'll live each minute with her until the end, we love her so much. The last
day, we will
be ready, we will be there ...
Roxane, my little heart, we love you so much, we will help
you, we will never let you down ....
